PRIME

TescomOnlinefrom €273.00

The new Prime series is a versatile double-conversion UPS that can be mounted as a rack or tower unit. It delivers a pure sine wave output with full digital control, zero transfer time, and high efficiency and low power consumption, with a Power Factor of 1 (kVA = kW). The series can support many types of critical electrical installations, such as high-tech components, enterprise servers, laboratory equipment and other sensitive electronic devices that need strong protection against power fluctuations and outages. Prime units are generator-compatible and can be used in a parallel system of 4 UPS units for maximum protection.

Detailed specifications

Features

  • 3-level DSP technology

Advanced DSP control with 3-level topology.

  • Active power factor correction

Automatic active power factor correction (APFC), with input power factor up to 0.99.

  • Digital parallel technology

Advanced digital technology for running units in parallel.

  • Hot-swap batteries

Batteries can be replaced hot (hot swap), without interrupting power.

  • Linear power derating

At low input voltage, output is derated linearly, reducing discharges and extending battery life.

  • Intelligent battery management

Automatic charge and equalization control plus charger idle control, for 50% longer battery life.

  • Cold start

The UPS can be switched on even with no utility power present.

  • Adjustable start-up delay

Delayed start when power returns, reducing the load step on the grid or generator.

  • Smart fan control

Fan speed adapts to temperature, reducing noise and extending fan life.

  • Multi-platform communications

RS232, USB, RS485, SNMP and dry-contact communication interfaces.

  • Self-diagnostics and event log

Self-diagnostics and event logging for easy troubleshooting.

Frequently asked questions

All questions
What warranty do UPS units come with?

All UPS units are covered by a 24-month warranty from purchase and batteries by 12 months, with the warranty registration form completed within 10 days of purchase and a copy of the invoice. The warranty can be extended with a maintenance contract.

Should I switch off my UPS?

All Tescom Hellas UPS series run 24/7 with no need to switch them off.

What is the average lifespan of UPS batteries?

It depends on use and environment. A 10°C deviation from 15-25°C halves battery life. We recommend replacing the batteries every 3 years.

How important is a UPS?

Voltage fluctuations and grid failures can cause damage, data loss or system failure. A UPS supplies power from its batteries, giving you time for a safe shutdown, for a generator to start, or for power to return.

What does a UPS protect against?

Depending on its type, a UPS protects your loads from: loss of power (power outage), overvoltage (short- or long-term), frequency variation, switching transients (momentary interruption), harmonic distortion, and noise (electromagnetic interference).
